August 2026 release notes

Live data in the app, a fairer calculation of what your installation earns, and a plan that keeps a margin.

This month you see your installation as it is right now, and the amount it earns you is calculated more fairly. Here is what you notice at home.

You see what your installation is doing right now

Open the Helios app and you see this moment: how much your solar panels produce, whether your battery is charging or discharging, and how much you take from or send to the grid. Before, you were looking at figures that were a few minutes old.

What your installation earns is calculated more fairly

To show what Helios brings you, we compare what actually happened with what would have happened without smart control. That comparison assumed your battery could deliver more power than your inverter can pass through. The comparison was therefore made against something your installation could never do.

The calculation now takes into account what your equipment can really do.

  • The amount you see is a realistic picture of what your installation earns.

  • Earlier months were recalculated with the improved method, so you may see a different amount there. Your installation did not start working differently; the calculation became more accurate.

Your battery plan keeps a margin

Helios plans ahead: it estimates how much your household will use and when, and decides when to charge and discharge your battery. On days when your consumption is hard to predict, Helios now keeps a margin instead of planning on an average day. That means fewer moments when your battery is empty just when you need it.

A new plan as soon as the day goes differently

If your day turns out differently than expected (guests, an extra wash, the car on the charger), Helios now draws up a new plan as soon as it notices, instead of waiting for the next scheduled calculation. Less of the benefit is lost while waiting.

Your Helios device runs more smoothly

A round of improvements to the software on your Helios device means fewer interruptions and fewer moments where it needs help to recover.
